Gonna be tabling Comic Art Los Angeles next week! It’s the official debut for Frankie Comics #4 and I’ll have a bunch of other Frankie merch and Steven Universe: Too Cool for School as well. Hope to see you there! ❤️
I’ll be selling at SPX this weekend, September 17 & 18! I’ll have Frankie Comics 1-3, Steven Universe: Too Cool for School, the brand new Oath anthology (which Megan Rose Gedris and I have a story in), Frankie merchandise, and original art for sale. I’ll also have a copy of the Beyond anthology on display; which was nominated for an Ignatz this year!
I’ll be at M4 with Carey Pietsch and Benji Nate, neighboring Luke Healy, Jon Chad, Laura Terry, and Randall Trang. (Two tables down from Silver Sprocket and Michael Sweater.) Hope to see you there! ❤️
I’ll be selling at the SF Zine Fest this Sunday! I’ll have copies of Frankie Comics 1-3, Steven Universe: Too Cool for School, original art, and related merch. I’ll be inbetween the rad crew at Silver Sprocket Bicycle Club and the inimitable Andy Warner. Hope to see you there! ❤️
Hey comic fans in San Francisco and farther north: I’ll be the cartoonist-in-residence at the Charles M. Schulz Museum this Saturday, September 3 from 1-3pm. I’ll have original art on display from Frankie Comics, Steven Universe, and Care Bears and have Frankie Comics books and merch for sale. Hope to see you there! ❤️
The 150-page book was written by Jeremy Sorese and Ian Jones-Quartey; drawn by Asia Kendrick-Horton and myself, coloured and lettered by Leigh Luna, with a cover by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell. <3
The book costs $14.99 and is available at a local shop near you. If you want to buy a signed copy directly from me, the book is also available in my online shop: shop.mixtapecomics.com/product/steven-universe-too-cool-for-school
This book is a long time coming and had some significant hurdles along the way. I’m so proud of the team for their continued efforts to get this done and I’m glad that we can finally share this story with fans. I laughed out loud through the whole book and I hope everyone gets as big a kick out of it as I did. <3
